Go Pro

Testing out the GoPro Hero 7 Black Edition.

Expand the description for all of my camera settings and some additional thoughts:

Today we’re just testing out the GoPro Hero 7 Black. I feel like overall, this is a huge improvement over the previous GoPros, however I did notice that this footage wasn’t quite a sharp as what I’m used to. This could be due to a number of different things like:
1) it was an overcast day / low light (gopro likes a LOT of light)
2) Hypersmooth crops in a bit which takes away some of the sharpness. Compared to the hero6, you can see it’s a little softer.
3) I’m shooting with sharpness on “low” as recommended by a GoPro production guy – however I might experiment with “medium” instead. On my hero 6 I’ve always shot on “low” without problems.
4) Maybe it’s just because I’m so used to shooting on my a7iii which has amazing sharpness?

I’ll be shooting with this camera more frequently as the snowboard season starts and I’ll keep you guys updated on any changes I make to my settings or if I find a way to make the footage look better.
