TimeWarp is an amazing new GoPro HERO7 feature that adds a new level of stabilization to time lapses. From my experience so far, the best TimeWarp setting is 15x. The TimeWarp mode is best for filming a time lapse when the GoPro isn’t going to be stationary. If you are carrying the GoPro or strapping it to a moving object, TimWarp is the way to go.
For time lapses where the GoPro will not be moving, the Time Lapse mode works just fine. If the additional stabilization isn’t needed, than there is no reason to use TimeWarp.
Lastly, Night Lapse is a great mode for shooting time lapses at night. It brings out colors like never before. Unfortunately, I haven’t found a good way to use TimeWarp in low light settings, so Night Lapse is often my best alternative.
