Daydreams – A Cinematic Roadtrip Adventure [ How to Film with GoPro HERO8 + MAX ] 4K

Take a road trip with me and my friends as we film our way to some perfect surf. Utilizing GoPro MAX and HERO8, I do my best to show you how to film what you see in the video. As for editing, I used the GoPro FX Reframe Plugin to turn 360 shots into this edit, as well as add lens correction to the HERO8 footage.

Toyota let us borrow a brand new 2020 4Runner TRD Pro to make the trek, and it was a beast to get us where we wanted to be!

It’s been about 8 weeks since I started self isolating. I decided to take the time that’s been thrown in my face to go back to how I started making videos – experimenting, playing in After Effects, and trying different things until something feels right. With so much going on all the time and new opportunities with friends and a whole lot of FOMO, it’s so hard to really push that creative growth button.

Titling the video is never easy, but when I stumbled on the idea of daydreaming, it stuck. This trip really feels like a distant dream, and as far as traveling goes, all we can do right now is look back and appreciate what we’ve had in the past, and look forward to what we have in store in the future. Thanks for tuning in!
